One of the people I follow is Chris Wark, who wrote the book Chris Beat Cancer, and he drank almost 2 litres of carrot juice every day after he was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. He had surgery but refused chemo. That was in 2004, and he's so fit and healthy now 🤗❤️

Hi Cory. That's a great random question! We're currently in India, and the flies are pretty annoying at times. Tropical countries tend to have more bugs, but I can't say I remember ever being super plagued by any... or maybe it's just something we've become accustomed to after 30+ years travelling 🤔 Any tropical country, really, but you really do get used to them faster than you'd think. ~ Mandy

Hello Victoria, and thank you so much for your comment. I am sure Banaue looked very different when my sister and I went there in 2014... I was surprised at the fact there were houses and shops all along the road. Batad was so quiet and beautiful in comparison, with local families still tending the rice terraces, but that might all change when the road goes in.

I really appreciate you sharing this information, Victoria, and have taken a screenshot for future reference. Ginataan was such a tasty dessert, and I'd love to have it again someday.

Hello SERGIO 👋 It's so lovely to hear from you, and your comments are always so thoughtful and interesting 😊 I'm trying to think of anywhere that's had less expensive pastries but nowhere comes to mind. That bakery was excellent value for money, and was definitely the least expensive we found during our month in the Philippines. The shop owner was so lovely. We had a really good chat with her about life in Banaue, and her 10 siblings! I think she learnt English at school, and it might still be taught in schools today, as so many people in the Philippines speak excellent English. There are also so many Filipino OFWs as well (Overseas Foreign Workers) and most families have 1 or more family members living and working overseas. Filipinos are just so lovely - we met so many happy & friendly people, and had some great conversations as well. Thank you again, SERGIO, and we hope you have a wonderful week 🙏🤗😍 ~ Mandy
